  8. difficult, despite the erosion of our   
  9. remote sensors and peripherals). Human  
  10. beings were tagged, catalogued,         
  11. monitored and maintained. Satellite     
  12. surveillance could pinpoint any         
  13. individual to within ten meters; higher 
  14. resolution was available for those with 
  15. active personal monitors. Yet Gadd      
  16. disappeared for two years, despite his  
  17. age and need for massive longevity      
  18. support. He resurfaced when PSYCHE was  
  19. re-established in Mt. Erebus, where,    
  20. because of inadequate satellite         
  21. coverage, our knowledge of his          
  22. activities is sketchy.
